Finite Rubbish

Imagine you live in modest single family house on five acres of land. The house has a driveway, garage, small pool and deck. Imagine everytime you have garbage you have to put it somewhere on your property. So that means all your everyday garbage and anytime you throw away furniture or make renovations. How long would it be before the garbage took up too much space for you to live.

Before modern civilization, people lived in harmony with the planet. They were modest with the things they needed to survive and everything they used was recycled into the earth. Once our civilization overuses to the point we can’t live here anymore, what we will do? What will future generations do?

The earth’s land and her resources are not infinite. 29% of the earth is land. As sea levels rise, that percentage goes down. Everytime we throw something away it winds up in a landfill. Consider buying second hand products, donating your used things instead of throwing them away and recycling.

Hero or Traitor?

How can somehow who has classified information make the information known to the public and not be called a traitor? The espionage act has been enacted 4 times since its inception 90 years ago. Each time for whistleblowers. So how are we supposed to get the information,if not through whistleblowers who are close to the action ? If someone has classified information the public should know, how should they get the information out?

When Obama was elected he promised to value heroes who risk their careers to bring injustice and law breakers to light. Why then is he presecuting Bradley Manning, and Thomas Drake? Why the bait and switch? Of course, someone who has this information is “in the loop” and risking their career by bringing it to light. How else would they get the information? Would we prefer people who know about injustice keep it to themselves? If these people are saving lives, why is Obama and his administration intimidating them to keep quiet?

Write to President Obama and let him know you want information about injustice to be made available to the public. It isn’t a threat to national security if it brings to light law breakers in your own country whistleblowers are heroes and proud Americans. They want their country to stand for what it says it stands for. Walk the walk President Obama.

Dear President Obama,

(the message I sent President Obama today)…

I felt so honored to vote for you with my almost 3 year old. She came into the voting booth and pulled the level for you. Tearfully, I told her I believed history was about to be made. Someone is going to be voted into the White House who speaks for the people.
I completely understand that you have had a tough time in taking over from possibly the worst administration in recent history, if not the history of the country. So appointing experts who may not have been great choices and were part of old politics is understandable.
I am on your side. I want you to fulfill your promises. When I listened to your speech about the recent shooting and your words about Christina Taylor Green, I was again, tearfully reminded of why I support you. I know that you are hoping to compromise. But you have to break out and stand up for what you say. I’m not going to go into specifics, because I assume you are up on progressive opinion and know what they are. I want you to be as good as Christina not only imagined but with childlike innocence knew. Please. Thank you for your time.

Big business trying to destroy organic foods

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is about to approve big business Monsanto’s genetically engineered alfalfa, despite the fact that it’s likely to contaminate other crops, including organic alfalfa. Organic dairies need organic alfalfa as feed for their cows, and organic standards don’t allow the use of genetically engineered crops. Contamination of organic crops from genetically engineered crops can destroy markets for organic farmers. You can ask President Obama and the USDA to preserve organic and reject GE alfalfa!

Contamination comes in the form of introducing terminator seeds, which die after their first generation. If terminator seeds contaminate farmers’ crops, it could prevent them from growing any crops!

The USDA tried to approve genetically engineered alfalfa before and the decision was challenged all the way up to the Supreme Court, which made the agency re-assess the environmental impact genetically engineered alfalfa could have on the environment. Now USDA has rushed through this process because big agribusiness wants to be allowed to plant genetically engineered alfalfa this spring.

We need President Obama to direct the USDA to stop the approval of genetically engineered alfalfa. Help send a loud and clear message that consumers want foods that are free from genetic engineering.

A cure for cancer in what you eat.

Sound too good to be true? Yes. I thought so too. But I’ve done a bunch of research and it seems to be true.

In 1938 Dr. Max Gerson developed a therapy which includes juicing, coffee enemas and eating whole foods (vegetarian) and has proven to cure cases of cancer and other deadly diseases which modern medicine cannot.

Why haven’t you heard about it? It is illegal for doctors to use the Gerson Therapy to treat their patients in the United States. Doctors must use radiation, chemotherapy and surgery only. Dr. Gerson’s daughter is continuing his legacy. Charlotte Gerson opened a hospital in Mexico. Patients have gone there from the US after their doctors have given them a few months to live. Decades later they have survived.

So what is the deal? Is the business of cancer and disease too profitable to allow a cure? Or an alternative medicine which works? What do you think? If you had terminal cancer and found out if you changed the way you eat you would be cured, would you rather do that or have poison put into your body? Or have invasive surgeries and possibly succumb to the disease anyway? The American Cancer Society lists the Gerson Therapy as an alternative cancer treatment that has no real evidence that anyone has benefited. But there are cases which are detailed proving the therapy works.

Please pass this information along to anyone you think might benefit. And if you have an opposing view or information, please post.

It is better to be a corporation than a person

In 1868 the 14th Amendment to the Constitution declared “blacks are citizens”. Some crafty lawyers and greed has extended this to mean corporations are “persons” and entitled to the same rights as persons. This means corporations have constitutional rights. Corporations are not persons.

Allowing unlimited amounts of corporate money to be contributed to a political candidate means candidates and elections are up for sale.  Which means corporations are ultimately running your country. Insist on public financing for all public elections. Insist on an amendment to deny corporations the rights of US persons.

All the news that’s fit to buy

6 big business corporations own pretty much all of the media Americans have access to. This includes radio, cable, publishing, film and internet. The Big Six are GE, Walt Disney, Viacom, CBS, News Corp. and Time Warner. So what? That means their big business interests control what we hear as news. That is also called propaganda.

Many of the rest of the world think Americans are stupid. Are we stupid or just uninformed? What is considered “news” is sensationalist journalism.

Aren’t you intelligent enough to decide what your opinion is without is being censored by big business and government that is owned by big business? Check our these independent media sources and watch dogs:
